Tissue Microarray

Representative sample collectives can easily be analyzed by immunohistochemistry or in situ hybridization on just one single slide. US Biolab’s tissue microarray (TMA) comprise tumor and tumor adjacent normal samples of highest quality. In addition to highly standardized collection standards, guaranteeing shortest post excisional delay (cold ischemia), US Biolab provides comprehensive patient, followup, and treatment data.

Your Benefits

  • Perform immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization on high quality specimens
  • Analyze sample collectives of one or more tumor entities on a single slide
  • Screen collectives of tumor cases in comparison to normal tissues on a single slide
  • Compare your experimental results to comprehensive patient and follow-up data Know the receptor and mutation status of your array samples

Additional Benefits

  • Assemble specimens on the array matching your own requirements
  • Ensure identical analysis conditions for all of your relevant samples
  • Reduce the work for staining of huge sample collectives to just one slide

Formalin-Fixed, Paraffin-Embedded (FFPE) Tissue Block

US Biolab has a worldwide network of hospitals/clinical sites working exclusivel to procure high quality biological samples. All formalin-fixed, paraffine-embedded (FFPE) tissue samples are collected under IRB approval by certified medical pathologists. Tissues are fixed in 10% Neutral-Buffered Formalin (NBF) within 30 to 60 minutes of surgery excision. The fixation agent and embedding media can be customized upon request. Standard0sized FFPE tissue can yield at least 50 4-5µm cuts. FFPE tissue specimens are collected under a strict Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Quality Control is performed on 100% of collected tissue samples. Prospective/custom sample collection is available.

Fresh Frozen Tissue

US Biolab has a worldwide network of hospitals/clinical sites working exclusivel to procure high quality biological samples. All fresh frozen tissue samples are collected under IRB approval by certified medical pathologists. Tissues are snap-frozsen in liquid nitrogen within 30 to 60 minutes of surgery excision. Standard sample weight is 0.5 - 1.0 gram. Samples can be collected/embedded in Optimal Cutting Temperature (OCT) media upon request. Quality Control is performed on 100% of collected tissue samples. Prospective/custom sample collection is available.

Biofluids

US Biolab collects biofluid samples from large population groups along with matched controls to meet your research needs. We have the ability to collect and process per your specification or by standard collection method. All our specimens are collected under IRB approvied protcols following International standards i.e. ICH GCP. Our well characterized samples representing multiple diseases and therapeutic areas are available through our biorepository. Whole blood, plasma and serum are processed both in-house and at our collaborating clinical sites. Every sample goes through our quality control process. Prospective/custom sample collection is available.
